Daines will report $1.7M cash-on-hand
BOZEMAN, Mont. — Representative Steve Daines today announced that his campaign for U.S. Senate raised more than $1.4 million in the second fundraising quarter of 2014, and will report $1.7 million cash-on-hand.
Daines has raised more than $3.6 million since entering the race for Montana’s open U.S. Senate seat in November of last year, with support coming from Montanans in all 56 counties.
Daines has outraised appointed Senator John Walsh in every fundraising quarter of the 2014 election cycle.
“Montanans are sending a strong message that Washington needs to change and Steve’s positive record of job creation, bringing accountability to Washington, and fighting to balance our budget is resonating with the people of Montana. Another strong fundraising quarter, combined with having resources available we need to continue sharing Steve’s positive message of more jobs and less government with Montanans, sends a clear message that our campaign is well positioned as we move toward November,” said Brock Lowrance, a Daines for Montana spokesman.
Daines announced his candidacy for Montana’s open Senate seat on November 6, 2013. A fifth-generation Montanan, sportsman and father of four, Daines currently serves Montana in the U.S. House of Representatives.
