BOZEMAN, Mont. — Representative Steve Daines today announced that his campaign for U.S. Senate raised more than $1.8 million in the third fundraising quarter of 2014, and will report more than $1.6 million cash-on-hand. This is a record-breaking quarter for the U.S. Senate race.
Daines has raised more than $6.8 million since entering the race for Montana’s open Senate seat in November of last year, with support coming from Montanans in all 56 counties.
“As we enter our campaign’s final stretch, Montanans from every corner of the state continue to share with me that we need to turn our country around. We need to start creating good, high-paying jobs and we need to stop Washington’s wasteful spending,” Daines stated. “The support we’ve received is a testament to the fact that Montanans agree with our positive message of more jobs and less government. As Montana’s Senator, I will fight for common sense solutions and will continue to be a voice for Montanans above all.”
Daines announced his candidacy for Montana’s open Senate seat on November 6, 2013. A fifth generation Montanan, sportsman and father of four, Daines currently serves Montana in the U.S. House of Representatives.
