MTN News: Daines talks about gun rights and access to public lands

GREAT FALLS – U.S. Representative Steve Daines (R-MT) brought his campaign for the U.S. Senate to Great Falls on Tuesday. He took some time on a shooting range near Great Falls to talk with sportsmen about gun control and access to public lands.

Daines says the public currently has little or no access to nearly 2 million acres of public land in Montana. He also expressed concern that certain gun control policies supported by President Obama violate the rights of Montanans to bear arms.
